How to Find Us

We are two hours away from Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The nearest train station is Carlisle or Penrith (both 40 minutes away) and the nearest airports are Carlisle, Teeside, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

By Road
Leave the M6 at junction 40 and follow the A66 west towards Workington and Keswick. After approximately 35–40 minutes (9 miles after Keswick) look for a sign saying Lorton Buttermere and take this left. Up a short hill you will reach a T-junction. Turn left signposted Wythop Mill. After a few hundred metres you will see St Cuthbert’s Church on your left and a private lane opposite. Turn right up this lane and Brook House is the first house on the left, then just over the bridge is a parking area for the Lazy Fish.

For the Little Fish, stop as you approach Brook House.  Turn left onto the gravel driveway around to the back of the property. Parking is beside the hedge on the right and the entrance is through an archway in the hedge.
